Rick Callahan – Head Coach & CrossFit Program Designer

About Rick:
“As an athlete in high school and college, I have seen the levels individuals can rise to in the spirit of both competition and camaraderie above and beyond their normal abilities. I had never thought to integrate these elements into my own training program, until I discovered CrossFit. Going to the gym is no longer something I need to drag myself to when I am not in the mood, it is something I truly look forward to. This is owed to the proven results CrossFit provides and to the exceptional community and environment surrounding it. If you want to work hard, test your limits, and be a better athlete, CrossFit is the avenue, end of story.”

Kristin Pineo (KP) – Coach

About KP:
KP started CrossFit in January 2010, and was instantly inspired by the incredibly supportive community, the broad and inclusive physical challenges, and the universal scalability of the workouts. Her desire to attain some important personal goals, (a body weight backsquat, eliminating her dependence on her inhaler, being in better shape than she was in her 20s), pushed her beyond what she thought was possible, and led her to become a coach. She is passionate about bringing new members into the CF community, especially young people and adaptive athletes. When not in the box, (or dissecting frogs with small children), KP may be found surfing, hiking, or chasing after her beloved pup, Lola.

David Schneider, CSCS – Coach

About Dave:
David has an energetic passion for sports and fitness. Excelling in sports at an early age fueled his competitive spirit, which he still holds today. After college David found that passing on this spirit and teaching others how to improve their abilities satisfied his desire to excel as a team.

David has been doing CrossFit since 2013, and knew this was something to be excited about because everyone could do it no matter what their experience level. Even though most workouts are
done individually, there is an enormous team atmosphere and support system in CrossFit that David relates to from his experiences in sports. His attitude, drive, and passion to help others creates a fun and educational environment. David embraces the gym’s motto “Stronger Together” every day by helping others reach their goals.

About Matt aka “Frog”:
Matt is committed to helping others live a healthy lifestyle. CrossFit was introduced to him on a work trip to Cody, Wyoming in someone’s garage. He immediately found a new passion and has been a CrossFit athlete ever since.

Matt grew up a coach’s son and strives to continue the legacy providing inspiration and motivation for others towards achieving their goals. He is passionate about helping people maximize their potential through fundamental and technique driven training. He was drawn to the tight knit community and team building that CrossFit fosters but also thrives on the competitiveness that comes with pushing his own athletic limits.

Matt Pitney – Coach

About Matt:
Since starting CrossFit in 2013, Matt was instantly hooked.  Coming from an athletic background where he played both collegiate football and volleyball, as well as semi-pro rugby for seven years, Matt enjoys the community and team environment that CrossFit provides.  Even with his past years of athletic competition, Matt firmly believes that his overall fitness has never been better since starting CrossFit.  Matt enjoys coaching because he loves to help people and share in their successes every day.  As a coach it is important to Matt that others enjoy CrossFit and its sense of community as much as he does.

Nick Robertson – Coach

About Nick:
Growing up in NH and going to college in VT, fitness was inherent in my outdoor lifestyle. Gymnastics and tennis were a big part of my youth, and the origin for my appreciation of movement and technique. After college, I found a new passion in tennis, coaching. As someone who focuses on kinesthetic awareness, it was rewarding to help young players discover that skill. After moving to Boston for grad school I struggled to find exercise that kept my interest, until I discovered CrossFit. Through CrossFit I rehabbed chronic injuries from my youth, becoming stronger, fitter, and mentally tougher. I established lifelong friendships and eventually took on coaching. Coaching CrossFit has been the perfect marriage of my love for teaching and my passion for fitness.

Al Ramos – Owner & Coach

About Al:
Coach Al might look serious, but those who know him well know that he always enjoys sharing a laugh. He’s all business with the barbell, but he’s also a husband, father of two, and cardiac nurse. Always approachable and willing to help, don’t hesitate to ask him anything!

“I’ve always had a passion for lifting weights and having fun. Starting CrossFit in my late 30’s was a challenge, due to mobility restrictions related to years of distance running and neglecting overhead lifts. But Watch City brought that passion back, in a safe and social atmosphere. I’m all about giving 100% but also being able to flip that switch and have fun between sets and joke around. I believe that everyone is stronger than they believe themselves to be, both physically and mentally. The horizon really starts at your feet.”
